she's not tiffany, who trawls through anti-snsd forums and pretends like it doesn't hurt when they call her a slut or disrespectful or rude, but she's been in this business long enough to understand (and fear) the power of netizens.

they hurt and they sting and all she want to do is scream because i didn't want this either this isn't me this isn't who i am but it's not like they'd believe her anyway.
yoona reminds herself that she's not the person they (she doesn't dare name them, it puts a face to the people that could've been fans that now hate her for something she can't control and that hurts more than she'd like to admit) make her out to be, but that doesn't mean she can't hear the sounds of keyboards furiously tapping away as soon as she finds herself the centre of the photoshoot.

it scares her, the way she lets them hurl venom at her through the screen, their biting words and scathing remarks leaving its poison in her mind, spreading and infecting her entire soul.
her unnies tell her to ignore it, they're just jealous, they don't understand the work you put in, but yoona can feel hyoyeon's dull resentment and the way sooyoung doesn't meet her eyes.
it frustrates her, so so so much because none of this is her fault but she's getting all the backlash anyway and all she wants to do is make them stop - make them go away - because it hurts to think that everything she has ever done to get to where she is today is whittled down to the derisive belief that oh, i guess it's because yoona's so pretty.
so she locks the bathroom, picks up a razor and slashes it across her right cheek.
there's blood everywhere - her face, her hands, the tiles, the mirror - and she's pretty sure yuri and taeyeon are screaming outside the door and sunny is calling their manager and the hospital but all yoona can think is,
