I'll be voting on my way home. And you're right....it really is a matter of voting for the lesser of evils, or what you hope is the lessor. It's sad, I have yet to hear of anyone actually liking who they are voting for or confident in their choice.

you know, for the first time i was going to spoil the ballot. i didn't though.

I think a series of minority governments might help mobilize the vote a bit.

Of course, then we might end up with a political system like the Israelis.... which may not be a bad thing.

I don't know about that. With the lowest voter turnout to date last night, it seems people are getting more and more apathetic.

At this rate, the next federal election, the government will be elected by less than half the population. Could we still say the government is democratic at that point?
