Right, now that I'm back in London, and now that I don't feel like making a start on my preparatory reading, here's my second trip report. Before I go any further though, please be warned that this post will be a bit picture-heavy. I do not know how to use LJ Cut, so stop whining. Enjoy ( Read more... )

The problem with the middle eastern carriers like Emirates n Qatar is their inconsistent service levels, even though their hardware is right up there with the best. Since u are in europe, u should try the spanish budget airline Vueling sometime. Had the best and most fun budget flight experience with them.

Yes, they are quite inconsistent. I don't know about Etihad though.

Yes, their hardware is right up there with the best. But even then there's inconsistencies. Some planes have seatback TVs, others don't.

Oh yes I saw vueling when I was in Barcelona. Think my most fun budget flight so far was with Southwest in the US. Ryanair was okay.

Haha, Ryanair is the most cheapo i ever took. Seats cannot recline, safety cards plastered to the seats, landing at super ulu airports, super expensive inflight food etc. At least vueling gives out free sweets, have entertainment onboard, cheap food n very fun crew.

Probably not so much a budget but tourist airline.
