Seeing S on my way to lunch has occurred twice in a row now. It’s funny how these coincidences now are reminiscent of the past and yet, they also reveal how much has changed since then. Acknowledging each other is nothing more than a wave of the hand before we both look away and continue moving along.

Solitude at a busy train station is always accompanied by my feeling lost and I can’t really explain why. A train would arrive and throngs of people alight and head purposefully towards the escalator, allowing nothing to distract them from their single-mindedness to exit. I liked how the Japanese anime series, Shaman King ended its run last night. The producers used Yoh, the protagonist and hero of the anime, to pose questions like if Hao, the villain everybody loved to hate, really did obtain the Great Spirits.

The old lady who lived at the end of the corridor had passed on. I’d suspected something was amiss when the usually groomed lady began looking dishevelled and required support to move from place to place many months back.
