He'd been working since Wednesday, but finally, it was finished. Kabuto sealed the final scroll with a tricky, but infinitely useful jutsu, and set it next to the other two.

With a few quick handseals, then biting his thumb hard enough to draw blood, Kabuto slapped his hands palms-down on the floor of the room. "Kuchiyose no jutsu!" He waited

Ino was pretty much finished packing by now and so she headed across the hall to Kabuto's room because it would be pretty rude of her to just up and leave without telling him. Even if it was only for a couple of days.

She knocked lightly on his door.

"It's not locked," Kabuto answered the knock, his expression fading to one that was carefully neutral. He stayed where he was, though.

Opening the door and slipping inside, Ino eyed him. "What?" she said lightly. "Chairs not good enough for you now?"

"Just finishing a project," he replied, opening his eyes to look up at Ino. "What about you?"
