Room 505, Monday Evening

It was one of the rare occasions where Kabuto was not studying.

He was waiting.

Of course, to pass the time, he did have a book in his lap. So he might have been studying.

But he really was mostly just waiting, the door invitingly open.

Like she ever needed an invite?

Nonetheless, Ino smiled as she slipped across the hall. Her hair was down and she was in her pyjamas and bare feet.

"Hope you weren't waiting long," she said as she shut the door.

Kabuto looked up, a slight smile curling his lips. "It was worth it."

Ino blinked, and blushed a bit. That was, surely, one of the most blatant compliments he'd ever given her.

"Call the wait a bit of payback for all the times you've made me wait around for you," she said, smiling.

Sometimes Kabuto could be a good guy. When he really wanted to be.

"I've always made it up to you if I've made you wait," he pointed out, closing the book and setting it aside.
