I must admit these are long overdue, but, here they are! That was one hell of a trip, a lot of good, a lot of really bad crap too!
Our first lodging upon arriving in Germany, the Schwesterwohnheim convent. We all had our own rooms. It was great! (until later).
One night after rehearsals, the band and I went back to the parking lot beside the theatre we rehearsed at and enjoyed what Oktoberfest had to offer. That being an 8 woman classic rock cover band! Man, that was an awesome night.
After our first show, near Paris, we stayed the night and then did a drive through tour of downtown Paris, here is approaching Notre Dame.
Notre Dame, almost front and centre!
Sightseeing out of good ol' durrrty nelly was pretty taxing on the body!
There she is: Dirty Nelly. Oh wait, the big news is the Eiffel Tower.
Tom beholding the L'Arc De Triomphe.
One night we got back to the Schwesternwohnheim there was the normal, much enjoyed "No Smoking" sign...
But due to the previous night's jamming/practising, a "No Music" sign was posted, just for cute little us!
In the tour of this March, we rehearsed in the town of Saarlouis. Well, it was nearby, so we went back one day! This is the fall version of the same street (I think) I posted a picture of way back then.
We went right back to O'Dwyer's Irish Pub, where we had celebrated St. Patrick's Day.
Another quaint street in Saarlouis.
Our French Tour Manager, Mika, who was a true gem.
The twins, Catherine and Susie, stole Mika's cigarettes!
Shauna and Emily thought these crackers looked dirty.
Back at the Jugundherberger, Mike with the chalice we acquired from the previous hotel. Note Mike's room has transformed into Club Magique for the evening.
Mike in club owner, beach themed outfit!
Consider the beach party a success!
On the way from the Jugundherberger to the same old tiny pub out in the woods.
Octi and Dan, happy as clams.
The view down the table.
Dan and Pat, doing what they do best!
Pat (playing), me and Kyle, and Una playing
Pat, Me and Kyle, the owner of the pub, and Una.
Cheers, and it's always good with Weissbier.
We got lucky when Nelly's brakes had a meltdown and we got a real tour bus (minus bathroom) for the last week. It was good times. And the driver, Steve! He was an awesome guy.
The gang in the back of the bus. Obviously cool cats.
It was an ugly day, the day we took the ferry to Denmark. Left to Right: Kyle, Tom, Una, Dan, Mika, Steve, and Pat.
Me, withstanding the winds.
The view out the front of the ferry.
The bridge to get to the ferry, which we were afraid would be closed due to the weather, but it wasn't. But it was a very hard drive for Steve, and we applauded him on the other side.
The view out the left of the bus, while on that bridge.
My tape was accessible to everyone, so Mika got a hold of it, and wrote that on it, since my toolbelt of tape had been dubbed my "girlfriend".
After doing this show for this long, I don't need to label the inputs anymore, so i did what Dave Rat would have done and had some fun with sharpie.
You've *got* to have a board buddy.
He even got a name.
What's a guy to do? It is my girlfriend we're talking about.
Kyle and the traditional Irish Dancer's ghetto booty.
The Band at it on stage: Pat, Una, Dan and October.
Dan and October on Sally Gardens
Grand Finale!
The Band at it once again.
Once in Denmark we basically used house rigs for those 4 shows. They all had such sweet gear. Midas Venice 320 and some BSS Dynamic EQs made me very happy. Best sounding show of the tour.
Ceili!
Sally Gardens once again!
Did I mention I love these BSS Dynamic EQs?
All our Denmark shows were near Copenhagen, so the band and I got up at 7:30 one day to take the train and spend a morning in Copenhagen.
The town square in Copenhagen, where the MTV Europe Video Music Awards had just been held. I was giddy to see roadies.
Roadies At Work! Wooo!
A 17th Century observatory.
The doorway to the observatory.
My highly expeeze, but very worth it, breakfast in a cafe in Copenhagen. MmmmMmmm.
The fountain in the square outside the cafe.
The tower atop the stock exchange building.
Sadly, this man's horse was not honoured as he was.
Una happened upon a sign proclaiming the Copenhagen Irish Festival to have been happening while we were there.
We had brunch with a friend/relative of Dan's in a very oddly decorated restaurant.
One of the lamps above our table.
At the end of the table, our wondrous guide.
Una and our friend.
Dan and Octi!
Down in the bathroom hallways were these: Dressed Deer With Wine Glass.
Dressed Bear. It was reported to me that in the Men's room, the urinal bowls were in the shape of lips.
An old Harbour.
Another cool tower.
The stock exchange in its full glory.
Una, Dan and his Relative in front of the Danish Parliament.
The Copenhagen Train Station. It was awesome.
The last Sally Gardens for this tour.
Our return to the White Cliffs of Dover to fly back home.
Back in Dirty Nelly for the drive to London.
Dan, asleep. A common occurence on the bus.
The first, and last Travelodge on the tour. Mere hours till we fly home!
Shauna and Tom.
Emily and Kyle entering my room.
Muah! Goodbye for now, guys.
Whew, there it is. The whole month in review!
