SXSW: Night 1

We got a late start last night, so only got to see two acts.

The Kills: I must live under a rock or something to have not heard any of the hype around this band, so I can't really say if they lived up to that hype or not. I can, however, say that I thought they were quite good. They reminded me a lot of Boss Hog, but with a drum machine.

There is hype around the Kills? I thought I was the only person who liked them. In Denton, at least.

Also: Rallies in May and June or July! I might be getting a new VNB engine off scoot.net in the next few weeks.

I'm not sure when/where they're playing, but try to check out These Are Powers if you get the chance. They're friends of mine, but they're also amazing.
