I've finally seen the barrier. It's actually not invisible, even though I'm pretty sure someone said it was. When you can get close you can see a lot of different colors, a little like a reflection that's all messed up. I wasn't sure if I wanted to get near it, much less touch it. So I started by trying to see if I could make a hole in it with my hyperresonance. It didn't work, maybe I shouldn't have been but I was actually pretty surprised. I mean, I thought hyperresonance could destroy anything? I was able to use it to get rid of the miasma, so why not some stupid barrier? But I couldn't make a dent at all.
Nothing happened to me though, so after that I wasn't as worried. I tried using force and fonic attacks, but nothing would effect it. But you'd think that if the barrier could really do something to you, trying to destroy it would be bad enough, right? Only nothing happened to me. I didn't turn into a girl or an animal or anything, maybe everyone was pulling my leg about that. I guess hazing the new people is how they keep from getting bored around here.
Anyway, I've been trying to get out and meet more people, but I really haven't done much since I got here.
I played a game called
Apples to Apples for a little while, but I didn't stay in it very long. I didn't understand a lot of what happening and my mun got distracted. Then, outside one of the cabins, there was
big robot. I think that's the biggest one I've seen yet! Anyway, this guy made it to guard the cabin or something, he says his sister stays there. Maybe it's just the robots, but for some reason he kind of reminds me of Dist.
I talked to
Maya again, and she says that her boss is going to get the people innocent for the murder out of here. I guess the director hired them for that? After trying to get through that barrier myself, I'm not sure I believe it, but I hope they can do something. Man... I feel pretty useless. Something like this should be easy after defeating Master Van. I wonder if Asch would be able to do it...?
I met two more people who don't have anywhere to stay. One a
girl and then
a nice guy named Peter. I don't know if either of them ever found a place to stay, but I think they must be running out beds around here.
Hugo says he's been here for six months, and every month a new group shows up. I guess people do leave enough, or else they would have run out of places a long time ago, but if more are coming in then going out, it's got to fill up eventually, right? I talked to
Guy about it, and he suggested we go door-to-door and find out who has more space. He didn't actually want to do it, but he can help anyway. We don't have anything else to be doing, right? And we might be able to help some people. I'm used to fighting monsters all the time, but this place wouldn't be safe for most people to sleep outside.
Good luck telling Emperor Peony that thought. If I didn't know Jade wasn't a normal kid to start off with, it wouldn't be that surprising if it was from working for that guy for so long.
