My LiveJournal is taking on a new form for the new year. This will now be a "work journal" - a place for me to post notes and progress reports related to projects I am working on, i.e. music, writing, art, everything

for the conception of most visual interest pieces, i'll just see it there, fully formed in the shadows of a stucco wall, bark of a tree or some swatch of shag. images come when i'm asleep, too, or just woolgathering...barney is, if i've not got m'implements ready-at-hand like, there's no way to trap that image. i'm just screwed.
'nother curious circumstance regularly occurs, to wit: i'll be drawing something specific, and some tiny element thereof will be a PERFECT snippet of something else entirely. (a bit of shadow in a clump of foliage will be a child's shoe or a trumpet or the tailfin from an old cadillac-infuriating.)
