on ash and meds

Been fighting with Ash lately, trying to get him to take his meds. The first time was easy. Just stuffed his pill inside a cat treat and he gobbled it up right away. The following day, though, he wouldn't eat the treat, even without the pill. So I stuffed the pill in a small sausage and he gobbled it up. This morning, he wouldn't take anything from

What's the size of the pill? You can try sneaking it on his mouth when he sleeps or yawns. Same for the liquid med. Sing him a song, and give him some good petting after successfully having him swallow it. Hope that helps.

this may seem harsh, but for my cats that doesn't want to take meds, i would force them. wrap them in a blanket where they can't kick or scratch you. sitting on them at this point would be helpful. then pinch their cheeks with one hand and feed with the other. i usually crush the hard pills into powered and mix with some water (tsp full) and pour it in.

you can try and crush the pill and mix it with ash's food, but i never got my cats to eat or drink when i do that, they'll eat grass for days then eat their food. good luck.

Use 2 people...worked with a full-sized lab, who knew how to spit out pills we know he swallowed

i'll give you two advices:

1. drug him with catnip so he won't think straight and give him the treat with the medicine in it.

2. make him wear one of those stupid-looking tube so he won't be able to knock your hand off when you give him the medicine.
