Today is my 2nd anniversary with my hunny. And, as tradition dictates, we will be celebrating by going to the dentist, this time for him. Last year, I went because of my wisdom tooth. Oh man. Been a hectic few weeks. Anyways, I'm so happy I discovered a Filipino food store a few minutes away from my apartment. Yay! Now I can start attempting to cook Filipino food for David.

Every time I try to think why I decided, when I was young, to become I doctor, I would always remember the Science Award I received back in seventh grade. It was my very first award since coming to this country and I remembered being so excited because I actually got a medal for it, not just some piece of paper that says how good at science I was. The sad thing about being in the field of technical writing is that there is not much room for creativity. From the moment you step into this field, you are bombarded with theories and ideas on spiritless and stodgy writing. Adjectives, adverbs, and metaphors are evicted from your vocabulary.
