[After the message, Katara found herself heading from her own room, pulling her hair back and twisting part of it into a knot as she moved to Sokka's room. Concerned? Why would he be concerned?

She rapped her knuckles briefly on his door and then, in true sisterly tradition, pushed it open without waiting for permission to enter.]

[Sokka's sitting on his bed, swinging his legs back and forth.]

[There's no reason to beat around the bush with this. She just takes a seat next to him, leaning her arm briefly against his.]

I wasn't trying to make you worry, and I'm not seeking attention. I'm just.. excited about the possibilities, Sokka.

[glances over at her, but doesn't quite make eye contact.]

And it's good that you're excited. I mean, I want you to be happy. [there's a definite 'but' in there.]

.. but you don't think I should be traveling.

[She clears her throat slightly, glancing at Sokka.]

You know I've always wanted to see the world. How is me wanting to see other ones a cry for attention?

[It's non-confrontational, not upset. Just.. confused.]
