The more I think about it though, the more I want it to look like...realistic almost? or at least shaded. There's a really good artist at www.deluxetattoo.com, hannah aitchison, who shades really well and I kind of want to take advantage of that, but I'm also broke, so we'll see what happens.
not somewhere with bony protuberances. i've heard it hurts like hell to get a tattoo done on thin skin with bone right under the surface. so maybe not back of the neck.
and this may just be the power of suggestion (as you titled this entry a *brief* update), but definitely don't do it hipside or tramp stamp. just don't. no matter who tells you to do it. it's not your style.
I still like the idea of the back of my neck best, because the two ideas I like best are inner wrist and back-of-neck and I don't want to have to wear longsleeved shirts my entire life.
anyway, whatev, I can deal with a little pain.
In other news, I just got back from Pan's Labyrinth and sobbed.
Oh cool!! As a "I'd like to work in the UN or some international org someday" person myself, I'd highly suggest you not get it on your wrist. I wanted to get mine there, but I didn't think it'd be such a good idea to be shaking hands with the President of Mali or somewhere and have a tattoo hanging out. Just me.
Otherwise, that sounds like a fantastic idea!!
And I'm really jealous of your Mexico trip!! Congrats!!
Thank you! And I'm soooooooo excited about Mexico and sooooooooo lucky they gave me that scholarship because really, I don't know how I would have afforded it.
Plus, this means that maybe I can save up my money at the end of the semester/summer for a new computer and/or iPhone because holy shit are they sweetass.
