we totally tried to make a box of those rice and beans at our last cross country team dinner and the microwave wasn't powerful enough so it was soupy even after microwaving for 10 minutes. so then we put it on the stove for another 10 minutes. and it was still soupy. but maybe it was a different kind, because i don't think it claimed to be ready in 60 seconds. but it was definitely zatarain's new orleans style.
