i love most nuts. almonds, pistachio, macadamia even. but i took a bite out of a big old brazil nut today and realized that it tastes just like human hair. what's up. who would want to eat a nut that tastes like that? shit just ain't right.

i love brazil nuts! did you know they're good for the rain forest? in fact, the brazil nut trees only grow in virgin forest, making them more economically viable.

i was watching a nature show about them and found it fascinating. it's theorized a specific bee pollinates the brazil nut flowers. obviously, there would be no nuts produced without this bee. the male bee of this particular species scopes out a rare and fragrant orchid, also only growing in the forest. the bee uses the orchid nectar as a cologne to attract a female. females will only find and mate with males who are wearing the orchid cologne. (those picky bitches.)
