Summary: "Here where you daddy don't hit you and your momma don't yell, you can be forever, Jasmine"
Inspiration:
Brigit's Flame contest promptNotes: I think I want to start to write a romance series in the same pattern I've written all my "X: Water Sign" entries. Those were unfortunately true, but I want to try my hand at some more fiction, so I'm going to make up a romance and get obsessed about it.
Carolina Jasmine prefers a cool, moist root zone with its face in the sun, although it will tolerate some shade and occasional droughts.
….
Your can be the Carolina Jasmine and he will be the Carolina moon and you can meet him on the Carolina shores.
You will dig your toes into the dirty mud sand shores like roots and try to plant yourself here.
You try to grow and bloom in these short evening alliances of a lost girl of 17 and a torn up man of 24.
And you think that he can give you everything you need.
But honey, don’t be fooled, he will never be your sunshine for he is only a moon. And you will never grow because your roots can’t find a home and the droughts won’t slow.
Honey, don’t be fooled by what he says because he’ll be gone in the morning, and you’ll be late gettin' home.
“Here where your daddy don’t hit you and your momma don’t yell, you can be Jasmine, forever”
