I really have to stop pretending Tumblr isn't my fandom home. All the fic will remain over here, anything actually interesting will eventually end up over here, but that's really where I'm engaging the most, although LJ is still close to my heart as a site. However, if you are desperately interested in every random, pointless thought I need to

So Homestuck is good then? I've started reading it but haven't been that impressed yet, though maybe I'll like it more when I get to the Trolls. Does it get better?
Deathly Hallows: Part 2 was fantastic (until the epilogue, but I'm still bitter about the epilogue so take that with a grain of salt).
I feel your pain about your orignial fiction. I hate when I have an idea for a fic, start writing it and all I can come up with are random scenes, which is happening to me a lot more right now. Grr. (Though I'm hoping my love for Dragon Age 2 will break me out of it.)
It gets good well before the trolls! (Which is good, as they take a long-ass time to show up in person.) It's kind of a gradual progression, but I'd say things are cooking along by the time act 3 gets going. But yes, the beginning is definitely not as good as the later parts. Where are you just now?
I liked the epilogue in the beginning, and thought it was nice here but a little bit extraneous - the last moment with the three of them on the bridge really finished things. The rest was handled by and large well, though (although to my disappointment, I really didn't like how they handled the Harry/Ginny. And I ship that, so...)
I'm on Act 2; currently, where readers learn more about Jade. So far I like the characters just not that into the story yet, but I can keep reading if it definitely does get better.
To me the epilogue was not well handled because I thought it was too much mood wiplash from the dark parts of the seventh book into a bright happy-happy epilogue. I also ship Harry/Ginny and am dissapointed that they didn't get handled better in either novels or movies.
Okay, yeah, it should start picking up speed relatively soon. Wait until you see how Dave ends up in the medium. (The characters stay the best part, though, and we get to see them really do more, interact more.)
And you do have a point! I liked the sense that healing would happen, though. And yeah, Ginny in general got truly underserved. (On the bright sided - Ron/Hermione, chamber scene, AKLJSFLKJSDF.)
the most recent updates from today that are showing up for me are Jade counter-trolling Karkat via password system, the last irony twins update I'm seeing was from like the fourteenth when Dave was blasting off on a rescue attempt, WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT, I CANNOT HANDLE ANYTHING MORE HEARTWRENCHING.
(As it is I'm just like, shhh, shhh, FEFERI'S TOTES GOT THIS LA LA LA.)
