Last night was fun of a kind I never expect of myself. I was not expecting to go to last night's party, the theme was 70s Porn Stars... yeah. It was fun! You're a great dance partner and you can keep a beat better than Ryan could...wayyyyy better. :) And I wasn't appalled by your "getting down", I just don't like the lyrics of that song because I read it as being about something completely different and it makes me sick...not about dancing. It just gives me bad memories...personal issues.

and that ringing is awful. took me ages to fall asleep.

and he was so hilarious, he looked like he thought he was at prom with you. ... which interestingly enough is how I danced with Zero later, but that was to make fun of the song.

And there are sooo many terrible songs out there, I just don't understand Antioch's fascination with them. But, I dance like that to a lot of songs and I'll try to not do it to that one around you if that helps.

Haha. omg last night when I ran into you in Hardy I was about to give Ryan dance lessons...seriously, I don't think he can hear the rhythm of a song, period.

gross prom. never had one and so glad for that. dance however the fuck you want, I swear it wasn't you, it is just that song.

oh yeah. I didn't think you were being judgmental or anything, I was just raring up for a debate.

He seriously looked like in Juno when whatsisface was dancing with her except it was like 'uhhh, Ryan, that's the wrong kinda dance dude, and, about 20 years too late.'

actually, you TAKE the mickey, you don't GIVE the mickey.
And I had fun even though I stayed longer than I should have.
And you dance wonderfully and always make me happy cause you're so enthusiastic and it's lovely.
And that kind of issue - about dancing/fatphobia - has often crossed my mind. I always wondered whether the reason I never really depart from the awkward androgenous shuffle dance is not just cause, a. I can't dance, and b. dancing isn't really a sexual thing for me so i just naturally don't dance in a sexy fashion, but also because that's kind of the socially acceptable way for a fat, awkward, white kid like me to dance. i don't know. It's so complicated.

anyway, i'm at the library with Gabby, looking forward to reading your poems!

it's very complicated. I don't really know the solution, so I do what I feel like. Maybe we should offer the philosophy of dancing to Tasia sometime as a topic of Dialogia.
