At my old job we had a machine that folded paper. it was great and made a nice "k-ching-k-ching" noise when it spat the paper out. Unfortunately, the amount of paper folding that had to be done was done faster by hand...

ours makes the same noise. Although, I would say it more K-CHING-K-CHING, as it is quite powerful.
Ours is fast, that is disapointing that y'all's wasn't. Unless of course it is a testement to how quickly you fold.

even though I've been doing origami for nearly a decade, the perfect tri-fold still is beyond me.

Oh my goodness, what a nice entry to read! It's the kind of description I understand ; )
Also, I don't know what kind of relationship you had with John Garner but last I talked to him, he was in Texas. I know it's a big place, and I don't know where he is, but it might be worth it?
Also, I knew a vegan once (the way all good sentences start, no?) and he ate fish because he lived on a farm and it was the only way to get what he needed at every time of the year..

fish are a fishy thing to figure out. : )

I'm sure if I saw John Garner I would recognize him, but at this moment in time I can't remember which John he is. Do you know where in Texas? I may look him up when I'm there, although currently I'm in Seattle, WA.

I actually thought of you when I was writing this entry, as it feels like entries of yours sometimes. : )
