I learned the other day that my Trigonometry professor and Academic Team coach, Carolyn Campbell, died on July 17. She had been valiantly battling cancer for a little over a year. Professor Campbell was one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life, always carried a smile on her face, and was an exceptional professor on top of it all. ( Read more... )

Yes, I'm alive but I don't know for how long. This week begins finals at PC, with my first final on Thursday. Classes end Monday and so I have Tuesday and Wednesday off. I skinned another animal today, this time a cat. No, this wasn't some sick personal project of mine, this was for Comparative Anatomy. The amount of fat on these cats was disgusting. I had no problems ripping the skin off of a cat, but the sight of fat made me grimace every time. Nevertheless, I had to maim this cat in the name of SCIENCE! ( Read more... )

Today included about an hour and a half's worth of reading Commissioned comics with my boss, delivering Kid Rock Cds to one of his friends, reading a PCSOM brochure, eating cookies, and being invited to a Shadowrun group. Wednesday proved to be an interesting day to say the least. To start off, my poor car was dealt a nasty blow. College went fine for me today, even though I missed about half of the things I was supposed to go to today. My schedule says that my Gen Chem II class is at 8am on MTRF, but in reality it's on MTWF, so I missed that class. So finals began today and I'd have to say things got off to a good start. I had Public Speaking (and it was a written test, not a speech) and I think I might pull off an A in the class. So, here I go. All of my classes ended today, leaving only a storm of semester exams, but that's next week. I gave my last speech in public speaking today, so I'm glad to have that out of the way.
