My Christmas tree is up. I should say trees. Instead of struggling with my bigger tree with the awkward slots for the branches, I bought 3 small "Alpine" style trees with the lights attached. Just returned from a Bridal Fair downtown with Daughter. We sampled wedding cookies and cupcakes and looked at photographers and other stuff. She already has her dress and the venue (I hate that word "venue," but what else to call it?). There are still a lot of details to arrange. No school yesterday, but all the teachers climbed on a bus and we rode to another town where we had in-service meetings, talks, stuff, etc.  It was hugely uncomfortable riding in that bus.  The seats were hard...padded, yet hard, and it was a bumpy ride.  We arrived late to the keynote talk, so I did get to sit way in the back where I could refresh ( Read more... )

Talked to Daughter and Sister yesterday about some adopted kids in the family, and it crept into last night's dream.  In the dream I was a teenager, and I found out that my Uncle Chuck, my dad's brother,  was really my biological father!  (He's not.)  So I was talking to my mom about it, and I asked her who my mom was and how she and my dad had ( Read more... )
