Leaving A-town

You know, I leave Adelaide tomorrow and it still hasn't sunk in that this is the last day. Sitting here staring at the empty space in my old room where all my crap was (never realised how big it actually is...), and nope. Nothing. Anyway! So I drive over tomorrow with mother dearest (oh dear god...), get the keys and move all my stuff in on ( Read more... )

So exciting, waking up to another chapter... Will you be living on your own or shared housing? What type of accom? Also, what will you be doing at uni?

Lastly, are you gonna change your lj username now? :p

I'll be on my own! Fantastic little one bedroom apartment in the suburbs a short walk to a tram stop and train station...which is only a 10 minute ride to the city. =P

Will be doing a Graduate Diploma in Information Management at RMIT Uni (http://www.rmit.edu.au/browse;ID=MC179 - cause I can't be bothered writing about it), so only another year of study and then see how it all goes!

Can you even change your username? haha not sure if I can be bothered. =P

Sounds pretty awesome. Was it hard finding a place so close to Melb?
You can change your username if you pay for it, heh.

Ryan and I are eventually moving over there as well. Originally it was gonna be May this year, but I'm finishing up Uni here, so might do postgrad there as well!

I guess it depends on what you're looking for - lots of places I went to were nice but you'd have about 20 other people applying for them. So having a strong rental history helps! Or (in my case) just getting lucky! To get something decent close to the city though you do have to pay a bit more - it's quite a bit more expensive that Adelaide.

I highly recommend it - not that I don't love Adelaide, but there are so many more opportunities for advancement over here...especially if you're looking at postgrad stuff. Good luck with it all! =)
