The night has not been very kind to the young boy. Noises, sirens, uncontrollable shaking. Was it just him or HQ is making him experience his own little storm? He's been through tornadoes before, but nothing, nothing like this! Jumping out of bed, Kaleem grips the wall for support while moving about his room. Grabbing his hand radio, backpack, and

Will felt the storm when it hit, thought it struck him with far less intensity. Somehow, however, he KNOWS where it came from. (Must be from Columbus, the town they share). He's an interesting sight. His hair is a mess, blown this way and that, and his clothes obviously show no care in order. He's got black UGA basketball shorts, a white tank top, and some brown work/hunting boots (tied more than lased). Lucky for Kaleem, Will's been spending time at Sven's house thanks to the heat down in Georgia. So when Will speeds off for Alabama in his truck, he actually reaches the boy faster.
Will's truck actually blazes by Kaleem before the screech of tires is heard. The truck door slams, and the truck is left running (luckily in park), when Will SPRINTS back to where he saw him.
K-kaleem?! 're ya hurt?! Why 're ya all tha way out here? Where's yer MA?!
[ooc luckily all my family in the B-ham area are safe. ^^; Grandfolks got hit, but they're fine.]

[Snapping back to his senses, the boy collects himself quickly. He's shaking, shaking like a leaf. Though he's uncertain about it being that noticeable. Despite this shaking, he still manages to speak in his usual monotone, he's doing a good job at keeping his voice free from any sort of emotion he's feeling right now.
Crying never solved one's problems, so why should he do it now? Might as well just hold it in for a time he's by himself.]
Besides a bump on mah head, ah'm cool. [Clicking the radio off, he looks around, almost dazed by what the other was asking. His mom, his mom---oh shit HIS MOM! Fear washes over him as he realizes that that was something he forgot. How the hell can he forget to run and fetch her!?
Closing his eyes, he takes a deep breath. Don't fall apart Kaleem. You gotta be strong now.]
Ah dunno Will; knowin' her she's alright. Ain't no damn storm gonna bring her down, tha's for one.

[megan, of course, had her eyes glued to every news station she possibly could since all of the tornadoes started. seeing the one that hit alabama quickly sent her bolting - backpack full of water bottles and whatever first aid things her rushing brain could think to pack - and running at almost break neck speed to see if she was needed at all by the other states. of course, they might not know her too well, but since when has megan been stopped on good will missions because of that?
she comes skidding to a halt when she sees kaleem - a mess of thudding feet coming to a stop and the whisk of long hair she hadn't bothered to tie up.]
Hey, are you alright? Not hurt, or anything?

[and instinctively she's coming over, kneeling next to the boy and putting her hand on his back to comfort him.]
It's alright, as long as you're alive you're alright. Listen.. [she digs into her bag, bringing out a small towel so that he can dry off.]
Do you want to go back to my place to stay while I go check on everyone, or do you want to go with me? Either is completely fine.
