Sixteen Candles. Jake Ryan. Samantha Baker. Basically, Sam's family forgets her birthday due to her sister's wedding. She has a crush on Jake who is the Big Man on Campus. At the end of the movie, Sam is walking out of the church after the wedding as various cars pull away to reveal JAKE EFFING RYAN (be still my heart) leaning against his Porsche, waiting for her. Last scene of the movie is Jake and Sam sitting on a dining room table with a lit birthday cake between.

I'm STILL waiting to recreate the church scene.
