Forgiveness is one of the things I struggle with too. One person in particular, even after 13 years. This is something I need to be riminded about this. Thank you.

You're right. Holy week is all about forgiveness. Christ's actions that week enables all of us to be forgiven for our sins and it should remind us to forgive others.

What a beautiful post. My mom watched that movie and we talked about it. When the Amish leader said hanging onto anger and resentment is punishing yourself, mom said she'd never heard it put that way before. True forgiveness is a beautiful thing, and one that I think all of us mortals try so hard to achieve. Few ever do.

May you have a joyous Easter week!

Very meaningful post Lee. I missed that movie tonight and had wanted to see it. I didn't even think of connecting the dots with Holy Week and this movie. Forgiveness is a big thing and I will say I still don't forgive some people....and maybe I should. Thats another topic for another day :0)

Hope your well. ((hugs))

This is a beautiful post, Lee. I agree, forgiveness is one of the most difficult thing we are called upon to do but doing it makes us better people in the long run.

Beautiful post. Forgiveness (true forgiveness) is one of the hardest things in this world but it's not impossible. Jesus is a great example of that. So is the Amish people in your post. It's everyday and in little ways.
