Secluded Cove on the Beach: Dawn

Mar 06, 2008 10:35

Katara was Not Thinking about what had happened on Tuesday.  Instead she was waterbending.  That was all.  Just standing knee-deep in the cold water and bending it around her.  It was good sometimes to be Not Thinking.

Mel usually isn't one for getting up early and wandering the beaches on cold days but the events of the last week or so have been enough to knock her routine of kilter.

So it was during this early morning wander that she came across a familiar figure.

"A little early for water bending isn't it?"

Oh boy. Mel was going to kill her.

"Never too early to waterbend," Katara said, glancing at her. "I like doing it before the sun really comes up."

Mel found a handy rock to sit down on as she watched Katara. "You seem to be doing less waterbending and more pondering."

"It's a meditative art," she replied. "I kissed Zuko."

Sokka crept down to the beach, searching, searching...

"A-HA! You ARE here! I need to talk to you!"

Katara whirled at the sound of his voice. "You! You're kissing Mel?"

Sokka was caught off-guard by that. "Uhhhh..... Not at this very moment, no. And we have MUCH more important things to talk about!"

"I don't think so!" she said, stomping her foot. "You've been kissing one of my friends for a few weeks, and you didn't even tell me?"
