Sparky bunnies attack!

Jul 18, 2011 16:04

I'm having serious Sparky fic withdrawal with all the working on SGARising and trying to stifle my urge to put Elizabeth in every scene. Gaack! So I had this little bunny attack.

Actually it came from hearing this song, which is one of my all time favorites of all time.

And the fic is called ( Get Here If You Can )

*sigh* Nice job. *imagines John carrying her through the 'Gate and into Atlantis, right to their quarters where he will take care of her sore feet*

Thanks. I know he will take care of the feet and all her 1000 parts.

Ugh and Gah and Wow and Sigh - all wrapped up in one. Thank you for new Sparky fic - I was feeling a little lonely for J/E as well and you helped!

Awww Yay. I miss the days when stuff like this was easy to imagine. I know working on Rising and trying to be 'follow up' necessarily means we're without Elizabeth for a while (you should see me physically trying to restrain myself from opening the Primum Movens files so I can get my grubby fingers a-typin--Evolution must come first!) but I miss her so.

Nice job. *sigh*

Thanks. It is a struggle, but well worth the wait.

Oh THANK YOU FOR THIS. Because I've had enough of "John shouldn't be rescuing Elizabeth, she should negotiate her way out" stuff. Pegasus is a risky place and sometimes she just can't negotiate herself out of trouble, and yes, John can and should save her, which doesn't make her weak or stupid or whatever God damn it.

To translate from my mini rant, I loved this. It was disturbing at places, because things like this, like these men Elizabeth was dealing with? In some parts of the world, that's reality. Glad John was there to help her. Thank you for pointing out you wrote this, I missed it. *hugs*

Glad you found it. Damn straight he rescues her. I'm so sick of political correctness, I may have to slap a bitch myself. I may just have to write on where he rides up on a white horse. Pfffttt!

Oh white horse would be just perfect! If you write it I won't complain!

I also would not mind a white horse. Just so you know. And I have NEVER subscribed to the theory that a woman is weak if a man comes to her rescue. Cockamamy BS that is. :-)

A true couple rescues each other on a regular basis. It's part of the job description - so there!

I agree! As long as one partner isn't the one doing all the saving (I don't want Elizabeth to be constant-damsel-in-distress). I always viewed John and Elizabeth as saving each other, depending on the circumstances.

Ok now I have to get the image of John riding a horse out of my brain. Guh.
