Greetings, Miss Bow. It's always great to meet a fellow news hound. My name is Clark Kent and I was one of the investigative reporters for the Daily Planet, a Newspaper run out of Metropolis in New York State. Originally though, I'm from Smallville Kansas.

I work in the caste as Archivist and Record keeper, but if you need any help with your paper, let me know.

Pleasure is mine, Clark. It's nice to know that there's someone here who also has a passion for such things. Who lived in New York no less.

I'll keep that in mind, thank you.

Well, north New York State. I'll admit, for having been to many places around the world, I never did manage to stop in New York City. I hear it's almost as big and crowded as Metropolis though. And my old Editor does love to read the New York Times.

I admittedly wasn't used to how big New York City is, I didn't live there that long. I wrote for the New York Tribune there.

You're kiddin' me! More Americans? It's about time more of you showed up!

Name's Surge, fellow American and Vermilion City gym leader! I think I'll get to like you!

[She thinks you're being rather loud but pleasant enough. Though her understanding of "gym leader" is obscured...you, uh, look like a "gym leader" haha.]

Very nice to meet you, Surge. I'm afraid I've never heard of Vermillion City, what kind of place is it?

It's a harbor town in Kanto! Hell, a lot of people haven't heard of Kanto back where I'm from. It's kinda far off, but it's a hell of a place!

I'm sure it is, I happen to be from a harbor town myself. It's a famous place for their festivals and summer hot spots.

[And now! Time for some questions!]

You said you were a gym leader?

Wasn't quite the best evening to arrive, I'll admit! I assure you, though, that kind of thing does not happen here often.

I sure hope so. I have bad luck on the first day on a job, I guess.

I would say it's a bit of a spat of bad luck on our end! Won't be happened again, though, if King Mickey has anything to do about it!

I have faith that it won't, we all seemed to handle the situation well as a team anyway.
