Dennis, Sounds like you have had a rough week :( I can relate to your "living from check to check" feelings!! I have been doing it for five years now, Im a supervisor and im still doing it. Its EXTREMELY frustrating, but look at it this way, at least you have enough to pay your bills right? Things could be worse!! As for your Denver Trip, like you said how were you to know that your mom was going to be gone in Two weeks? You could DRIVE YOURSELF CRAZY playing the "what if" game Its so easy to do after the fact, not as easy to do while things are happening!!!! Do you have a credit card to put your gas on? I know that sucks but at least it would get you through :) No more shopping for you mister :)
I hope your week turns around, look at the BRIGHT side, its sunny and warm finally woo hoo :)
I'm going to just scrape by, if that this week....*sigh* Oh well. Once I get the inheritance from my moms estate (not that it is much, but it is what she had to leave us, I would give it all back to have her here) I will be able to pay off 99% of my bills and be debt free. And that is just with the life insurance...the sale of the house is going to be a little more than that and that is going to be invested and in CD's and stuff. I am NOT going to blow this money....so NO shopping for me...Jason is going to keep watchful eye on me. I am going to go to the Wrentham Outlets just to get a few things and then that's it!
THANK GOD for Jason to keep an eye on you :) Spend a LITTLE on yourself, you deserve it. Must be nice to be 99% out of debt, I don't think that will happen until Im 55, though I know its bitter sweet :( Take care Dennis Marsh :)
