NO, for certain, do not bring mouthpieces. They would make an unending mockery of you and then not let you keep them anyways.

Memorizing Semper Paratus would not be all that bad of you, but work on your 11 General Orders first. Those are mandatory to know very early in training.

Random advice: If you can get away with it, buy a small pair of scissors from the Exchange. Like, mustache trimmer size. They will ridiculously useful to you for uniform maintenence and your squadmates will love you for them. (Otherwise you have to trim threads with nail clippers, a ridiculous task.) I say "if you can get away with it" because sometimes they do not allow recruits to buy scissors. Some recruit companies ago threatened another with scissors and ruined it for thousands after him. Grrr. Somehow I managed to buy and keep a pair successfully and they were worth their weight in gold.

So they were worth approximately $460.46? (Yes, I am nerdy enough to look up the weight of a standard pair of cosmetic scissors and compare that to the price of gold right now). Thanks for the tip, I will definitely try for that as soon as possible. Do they, like, say "go to the exchange, but don't buy scissors," or is it that they check anything you buy at the exchange?

Yeah, I started working on the 11 general orders a little while back, but they're really boring. Do they let you chill with a Helmsman during the Three Days of Hell? I can handle staring at a wall, but I definitely prefer actually being productive.
