Jeff's misery in this chapter is really well done and believable. I can so relate to how Jeff's feeling right now. (although not as bad as his injuries) I fractured my ankle in high school and needed surgery. I was in a wheelchair briefly and then crutches for months. I will never again underappreciate a shower. And shaving. Anyway, probably TMI (sorry bout that) but just wanted to say that I could totally relate to what Jeff's going through and you wrote his misery and anger at being so useless and completely dependent on others really well.

I've never had surgery (Thankfully, knock on wood!) but my mom was in the hospital last year for 12 days after her appendix burst, and didn't fully recover for two months. It was baffling to her not being able to just take a shower or go for a walk or whatever she wanted to do when she did it. I think we always take our good health for granted until something comes along and pulls the rug out from underneath us, right?
Thank you so much for reading, I really appreciate the fact that you took the time to comment!

Can't wait to read what comes next!
