Paring: Blair/Chuck
Rating: PG
Author's Notes: I am a fluff addict. Blair and Chuck together in the Hamptons during happier times.

"Croquet this afternoon?"
Blair smiled innocently, "Still smarting from the humiliation of yesterday?"
Lips pursed to avoid a grimace showing how true that statement was, "The only thing I remember from yesterday was you in that red bikini."
One hand carrying a pink lemonade, Blair slid her other arm around Chuck's. "Selective memory loss, it must have been worse than I thought." Her ponytail bouncing with each step, Chuck looked down and gave up the charade, "Same teams?" To which Blair replied, "Not bringing in any ringers?"
They continued the walk down the main drag. Blair clad in green gingham halter dress and white flats. Her ponytail wrapped in floral scarf. Chuck in a red and orange madras shirt and navy shorts, his hair messy from the wind.
Rounding the corner, Blair asked, "Are you going to pout again when you lose?" Chuck mimicked the Blair Waldorf roll of the eyes and silenced her with a kiss.

The afternoon sun filtered through the trees creating shadows on the lawn. Blair and Cyrus stood on one side of the lawn, while Eleanor and Chuck on the other. Their game attire consisted of paisley, argyle and floral patterns making them stand out loudly against the back drop of the white cottage.
"Care to make a wager, Blair?"
"Name your terms, Chuck."
"I win, we go to the beach tomorrow and you actually go in the water." Blair scoffed. She was very adept at sitting in the sand but strangely enough never went in the water.
"Fine. If I win, we are hitting the Audrey Hepburn film review in town."
"Terms are accepted."

She tiptoed into the water like she was afraid of waking it up. Instead of being annoyed, Chuck only smiled and coaxed her in deeper. Fifteen minutes later, she had finally made it out so the water was above her waist.
Reaching for her hips, Chuck lifted her and felt her legs wrap around him. Leaning in to kiss her neck, Blair tipped her head back to grant more access and the tips of her long hair got wet. Tilting down to meet him for a kiss, she looked beautiful and free. A smile playing at her lips, the dark water and sun glistening off her skin, "I guess I am glad I let you win."
"Your ego" with that he let go of her hips and let her plunge into the water, she found her footing and came up sputtering. "needs to be taken down a notch." Twisting her head to sprinkle him with her doused locks. "That is rich, my ego? I think if we are going to get in a competition on that matter, I won't need to throw the game." With a hook of her foot around his calf and a swift push to the shoulders, Chuck went down.
"Game on, Waldorf!" Blair had made it a few feet away by the time Chuck surfaced. Laughing, she sent a splash in his direction.
Spotted B & C playing like kids on the beach. Sigh...ain't love grand. xoxo GG
