I think that the quote "surprisingly little about baseball" is a bit subjective. There are two things that one must keep in mind when reading this description of "the King of Fools." Firstly, this statement implies that the Rev thinks that I know little about baseball compared to his own knowledge of it, since all of this is from his point of view. In fact, I doubt that there is one person in Hanselman Hall this year who knew more about baseball than Rev did. I know very few people who are so very unhealthily obsessed with baseball statistics and history as Rev is, especially that of the Boston Red Sox. Secondly, a Yankees fan need not have as strong of a background in baseball knowledge as a Sox fan needs since, well, history speaks for itself. Perhaps this supreme knowledge of the game fills one's own insecurity over a team that couldn't win a World Series if their roster consisted of the graetest players of all time in their prime ( ... )
