That's pretty damn impressive. Did you count the states you've only driven/taken a train through? If I counted that, I'd add like 5 more states to my list.
*grin* yeah, which added North Dakota, Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. But, come on. I'd never travel there of my own free will. Well, North Dakota I would. The rest are too creepy.
besides, when you take three days to drive through a state and stop at motels and tourist sites, what makes it different from a vacation, eh? do vacation spots count? pssh. totally legitimate to say I've been to ND, W and M. not so sure about idaho.
Geezus, V. What, were you in the circus? Were you a drug trafficker? Were you an preacher for a traveling Evangelist church? Was your church a tent with mosquito netting and flickering party lights like in the movies?
I'm impressed.
I've been to a whole 3 states. NY, NJ, and Pensylvania (which I can't spell). Well, we drove through Pensylvania and we took a rest stop in Buttzville (I think that's how it was spelled). For obvious reasons, that stuck in my mind.
my mum lived in Iowa for ages, and so I got the chance to visit nearly every midwest state that I otherwise probanly would never have thought about twice. They're all quite boring really, except Illinois (it has chicago) and North Dakota, (it's goooorgeous. South Dakota too.)
And my friend Chrissy seems to think I CHEATED and that driving through doesn't count. Which would take off Idaho, Wyoming, Montana and North Dakota. Silly bint. that map wouldn't look nearly as impressing, now would it? no coast to coast chain of red!
Oh, it SO counts. Or else I could never say that I've been to the Rocky Mountains on the BC side even though we were visiting family in Alberta. We technically drove through the mountains, but I still say I've been. I was there, I saw them, we took rest stops and pictures alike.
Plus - there's nothing wrong with cheating, I say.
I JUST SAID IMPRESSING. Is that a word? it is. Did it make sense in the context? I'm so confused. You know that point of having been awake so long, you actually aren't tired?
I'm glad you understand. And if you didn't drive through things, you couldn't get through them. Clearly. And you're right. There's nothing wrong with cheating.
