Christmas is coming! And I'm broke.

Dec 13, 2007 17:34

I had intentions of writing a picture and video filled post about why I will miss Kid Nation. Then I had things to do at work, and it all went down the tubes. Also, the show's end was severely lackluster and so not worth the effort of looking at the livejournal faq on how to actually post those pictures and videos.

I will say, though, that Laurel ( Read more... )

I totally just bought this necklace (not sure if that link will work) from LuxeDeluxe for (almost) sister-in-law this week. Awesome.

Etsy is going to be the death of my wallet, I can feel it.

Her stuff is just sooo pretty.

I've managed Etsy restraint for the most part. It's mostly because I make more jewelry for myself than I can possibly wear or justify adding to, and because I'm out of places on my walls to hang more stuff.

A Jess post...with a list...and aspirations to buy more expensive clothing! You've made me proud.

I'm broke, broke, broke, too, but that doesn't mean I can't charge a little sumpin' sumpin' for my Jess. It also doesn't mean I can't continue to shop online constantly for myself...

P.S. What ever happened to Christopher Lowell?

They show reruns of his on Discovery Home, I think. And I know he has a product line for Burlington Coat Factory. Plus, he has a fabric line that they sell at JoAnn's. But, really, I think his lack of a current television show is because he's just too ahead of his time. People weren't quite ready to use all of the wonderous things he would make out of styrofoam. He was always making stuff out of styrofoam.

On a sadder note, I had the opportunity to try on the JCrew pants in the store and I think it's a no go. I'm going to go back to try on a different size just to be positive, though.

Oh, Scott, Scott, Scott. I never visit anyone! I just whine and complain 'til they come to me. Plus, I know how you like to make whirlwind tours of Pennsylvania, and I am just a hop away. And I can offer you Chinese food and a gay movie, and that is a hot offer.

Miss Jess. Glad to see you're back on the livejournal wagon. It's been a year since my last post, but since my bank is infinitely busier than yours, I don't have as much time.

I'm also annoyed that you seem to make more money than me, but with the cost of living, I suppose it washes out. I get to try to transfer to another department in about a month. Being a teller is not a long term goal. Though it's not bad work, I have too many credit cards. Shannon doesn't want to pay my bills. :)

I think that you still make like $.50 an hour more than me, but I could be mistaken.

I would be a teller at this bank forever if I didn't have to finish my degree eventually and, you know, pay for things that cost more than the small salary allows.

This is the first job I've had in a while, though, where I think I can manage it and school without wanting to kill myself. And that's a good feeling.

Hey, you're not dead! I heard from Scott and Kara you'd got yourself a wo-man. They showed me pics of you guys on MySpace. It was pretty adorable.

Yeah, we're pretty awesome. Today marks the 16-month anniversary. One of the advantages of being a math person is that I keep track of that.

I'm only really dead in regards to LiveJournal and Myspace. Just too lazy to make posts. Unlike Jess', my bank frowns upon social sites on the clock.

Or maybe they just don't know, Jess. ;)
