Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends here in the good ol' USA (and anyone who's not actually here but will be celebrating today) and a very happy Thursday to everyone else!!

I'm contributing to a Thanksgiving potluck today and I'm making two dishes I haven't had before but they sound really good!  The first is a wild rice and roasted grape ( Read more... )

What's annoying about the parade is that they spend more time showing the hosts & celebs than they do the actual parade. No wonder Josh got bored in five minutes.

You're right. That's really what this parade is - a bunch of promotions for different people. It's not about what's *in* the parade but who's *at* the parade. Yet I keep tuning in. Of course sometimes there's someone I actually want to see so maybe that's why I keep watching.

*hearts* Alanna!! I just reread all of those a few months ago, and then read the next series as well. I really love those books.

I'm almost done with the first one (one more chapter) and then I'll start the second one tonight. I'm so into YA writing. I just love it. And I suppose it doesn't hurt that it makes me feel smart, too. hee!

Happy Thanksgiving! Now I feel hungry. I bet I end up having something-on-toast again, I never can be bothered to cook when it's just me. Enjoy your party!

Thank you! I could offer to send you some leftovers but I don't know how well things would travel that far. I know what you mean about cooking for yourself. It's hard! And it's much more fun when someone else can enjoy the fruits of your labor with you.

Happy Thanksgiving Sweetie. I hope all the food turns out. We've been cooking up a storm making two stuffings (a bread crumb based one and a brown rice based one) three pies (pumpkin, maple walnut, and apple), turkey, cranberry relish, baked sweet potato, boiled regular potatoes and roasted asparagus. (clearly, we take our meal seriously. lol )

Are you enjoying Alanna?
