The buildup is fun, no doubt about it. But the dodging and weaving around the subject, the reluctance to speak directly (and the fear of vulnerability that often accompanies with it), the subtle jockying and beating around the bush, the dropping hints while still maintaining plausible deniability...these things, hey don't interest me.
But then, I've been described as "not a beginner's relationship." The stuff I like once we get past the "can I kiss you?" stage is so...err, exotic, and complex, that the stuff leading up to the "can I kiss you?" part just seems kind of...I don't know, pointless? The real fun, the most interesting buildup and negotiation, takes place after rather than before that point, y'know? :)
:) All of my relationships have been long-term (minimum 6 months) and I still like games. I'm sure it's a matter of taste. I also suspect that such games would not persist if most people didn't enjoy them on some level.
