I can kind of see where you both are coming from, actually. I mean, as being part of a "minority group" myself, I think I would get offended if someone said they were looking to learn about "Native American mentality". To me, it would sound like the person thinks we all think the same things and we live some sort of primitive life in teepees in our own little world. I know you didn't mean anything by it, but I catch both of the "drifts" because I'm BOTH White and "minority". I really think it all depends on where you come from. A lot of people confuse "ghetto" things with being Black, and vice versa. Even Blacks here joke about different things saying "That's GHETTO!". In the area I'm in, it's probably 50% White, 40% Black and the rest are Hispanic. Most of the Blacks here are professional and are just like you and me, lifestyle-wise. They don't have any sort of "mentality" that you might find with people in the ghetto. I think that's the statement that probably set her off to begin with. I know you didn't mean any harm
