OOC: 5+1 Drabble Meme

You know how this goes. Request a 5+1 scenario, and I'll try and write drabbles for them! This time, though, I'm only writing them for Spike. Since he's new, the drabble requests don't have to involve DDD characters at all!

5 times Spike dodged a question, and one time he answered straight out.

alternatively, 5 times Spike and Hungary talked, and one time they were just quiet together.

The smoke fills the air. It always does. Whenever you're around him, anyway. Sometimes he's in between cigarettes. Sometimes he can't find his lighter. But then the smoke from the other signals comes in anyway. There's a haze developing, a heavy kind of mist. Thicker than smoke, thinner than cloud. And among the smoke and booze and saxophone, Spike tells Hungary about Jazz. She listens, and sometimes, when the smoke clears up a little, she speaks.

He knows the way to go from here. But he asks her which way, anyway, because sometimes turning left is just a slower way of going right. She answers, and it turns into a talk about streets and sidewalks, cobblestones and horses.

He finds it increasingly difficult to talk when there's a silver spoon in his mouth. But he tries, and hopes he doesn't spill anything, because spicy food from forever ago has no right to taste this good. He's asking for a recipe, that's for sure.

Five times Shinjiro and Spike were bros, and one time ...

Somehow, eating ramen outside a storefront became something other than a sign Spike didn't get paid this week.

There's streets that have names, and streets that don't, and every other weekend, Spike and Shinjiro walk them all.

Shinjiro falls to the ground. He gets back up, and keeps on swinging. One of these days, he'll know what to do. For now, he keeps on swinging for the fences, and Spike keeps knocking him back down to earth.
