A Great Deliverance (Lynley & Havers #1) by Elizabeth George - My bedtime read, this is a re-read, but I don't remember it, so it's like a new read to me. ;-)

It's been forever since I've read the first Lynley novel. BOY have they gotten huge in recent years (and kind of boring IMO)

I've only read a few of the Lynley books, and I don't remember much about them, but I do know I only read a few because I really didn't like Lynley. I think it had to do with all the drama over his love for Deborah St. James? IDK. I do know that I liked Barbara Havers more than I liked Lynley.

Oddly I disliked Havers more because of her constant class jealousy which was always such a big thing. The later books honestly can take 100-200 pages before the crime even happens. I couldn't even finish one of them

I think I felt a bit sorry for her because of her fucked up home life. I'm curious how I'll feel about them all after I finish my re-read. :-)
