I have nothing against liquor. I actually think it moved civilization forward, because beer and hard liquor used to be healthier to drink than water. Prohibition was not a good idea, it just increased crime. I do detest the people who abuse liquor. I see no point in getting drunk. Your dad needs help. I hope he gets it. *hug*

I have a lot against alcohol. It's been fucking with my family for a long time, so I'm completely against it, quite honestly.

Well, I understand that, and I feel so sad that your family has to go through that. I am betting it's not only the alcohol's doing. Your mom and dad sound far gone. They freaked out because you made a mistake and missed your bus stop. It's commendable that you are going to stay away from alcohol. It's a big personal choice. I hardly and rarely drink and I often get critized for not doing the average college student thing. However, not everyone who drinks is a bad person, and should not be ashamed that they like to enjoy a drink once in a while.

I don't think that everyone who drinks is a bad person, either. However, alcohol abuse is quite common, and people use it as an escape from reality. It's abhorant. My Dad is pretty far gone, my Mom not really. She didn't yell at me for my mistake, my Dad did.

However, he's only so far gone because he has been abusing it for so long... Something like 40 years or so. He's a "sober drunk", or whatever they call it.

Alcohol is very addictive, and it is horrible when people become so dependant on it, as is the same with any other chemical addiction. I think is it disgusting that people abuse something that was, in the beginning, intended for being a healthy alternative to, as was stated above, water. Humanity is a twisted, amoral piece of filth. Human beings are greedy and selfish... Not so much by nature, but more by environment. It's truely tragic that people would forsake their family and friends to get "fucked up ( ... )

First sorry about ur family *hug* I wouldn't totally ban alcohol...b/c there still are those who know how to drink responsibly...but yes I can see ur point alcohol does destroy alot of people's life.

OMG... the Jesus costume's so funny. And I would guess your a serial killer (the mask kinda makes it look that way) who murdered people in different countries and stole there clothing? Eh?

I'm dressing up with my boyfriend...we're going to be the living dead (or zombies as they are called...but I prefer to be called the living dead)...very spooky. I'm temporarily coloring my hair black for Halloween too. I'll try to post a picture of it :)

yeah it was fun... my boyfriend and i layed outside in the grass (no not in that way) and scared tricker treaters that came to my house. We even had some lady taking pictures of us!
