I noticed I have been making a lot of icons lately, but haven't posted all of them. So now, I'm finally getting off of my ass and making a post where I will house all of my icons. I'll keep it at the top of my journal entries so that if anyone's interested they can take a look and take what they like. All I ask is that credit is given if I used ( Read more... )

I took the spinning Uchiha's and the Yaoi sense is tingling icons. I will credit if I use.

For some of the more elaborate icons that have speech bubbles, I use Photoshop, or if I need to make color something in and it's too elaborate, but otherwise I just use the generic microsoft paint program and the Lexmark PhotoEditor that came with my printer (it's good for getting precise crops).

For the animated Icons, I've used various freeware GIF-making programs (right now I'm using Beneton Movie GIF), and might have to optimize them if the file is too big, or shrink the size of the icon. Beneton Movie GIF also has some LOVELY effects, such as the charcoal-outlined Meine Liebe icons and transitions.

It does, thanks! I have been using Microsoft Paint, but every time I save a file, extra pixels get added in somehow, making them image look dirty or fuzzy. I just hit "save as" and save it, then when I look, the extra pixels are there. Am I doing something wrong?

That happens if you save as a JPEG file. Save your files as PNG and then open them with something else if you want to switch to JPEG. Beneton Movie GIF prefers using PNG for GIF icons though, because whenever I use them the files are always smaller than when I use JPEG.

Of course! The only marked for "NO USE" are those specifically stated, such as the icon I made for nekokate_chan and the Volkswagen Sharingan Naruto Icons (as the term was coined by someone else I'm I'm waiting for permission.)

I hope you enjoy them! Would you mind telling me which ones you're taking? I like to keep track.
