I don’t blog much anymore. I want to apologize for that but I’m not sure to whom that apology should be directed. To myself or whomever reads this if there is still anyone. Perhaps those that did and then stopped checking after silent months. But they never did anything to encourage a dialogue. So rather than apologizing I merely acknowledge

Actually, I think you're incorrect on this one. I think you are confusing dawn with sunrise. Dawn is the beginning of twilight. So the "ambient lighting" you are referring to IS dawn. :)
