robot rebellion
Hours n' hours of trance dance, sweat and mind-explodey techno brillance, a badass house party and the greatest sleep I've had in months, I had potentially the bestest weekend of the year last weeekend. Saw a whole bunch of my robot space warriors <3, which is wikkid cuz I'm running out of time before I take off for the bush for a few months.

I feel cheated that I'm not even sore after yesterday's class (?!?)... that was a long and intense session! You've got to be one of my favourite mat buddies Cline - I love pretzeling into some weird posture n' looking over my shoulder to see your pig-tailed self all pretzelly n' deep breathing beside me :) Sweaty bendy monsters unite!

I suppose in the grand scheme of things I'm not really programmed to notice others hairy differences but if I can't see it how do prospective employers notice?

but the other day I was meeting with
a few professors from my department
and when I walked into the room
there was a huff and exclaimation of surprise
about my "radical new look" (?!?)
weird, cuz i haven't done anything to my appearance
since well before i was hired...
i guess my hair was tucked behind my ears
and they could see my industrial/tragus/conch n' schtuff.
plus i was under some bright lights
so the purple stood out more or something?
gosh, i dunno. people are so strange...
and no, you, miss cashew, aren't programmed to see
people's piercings/tattoos/hair as anything
other than part of their personality :P

We just set up the internet at the new house and I'm trying it out (oh how I miss it)...still lots of cleaning out to do at the old house. so weird being inbetween like this. this morn I woke up here, worked on art in the garage, then went to old house and packing/cleaning all day, now back here for unpacking, then back there in a bit, then back here to sleep.

I'm taking an illicit curry rice salad break at the new house.
Then it's back to dump runs and cleaning the oven...woohoo! er...
I'll take pics when it's a lil more in settled in mode. Right now I was just carving out a spot to work on the art amidst the boxes. There's a one car garage for resin pours and the more construction based stuff..but I'll have to share it with B's 'project car'....but we're turning the dining room into my indoor studio- so happy cuz I'll have light and sliding glass doors to a deck!!!! wheeee. Light and air!! :)the back deck is my favorite part of the house...can't wait to get some sort of table and chairs and sit out there with coffee in the morn!:)
