isn't there an option when you save it?? like go under general options and there should be something like "save as read only" or something. i don't have ppt on this comp so i can't check for you.

why do you want read only? you don't want anyone to mess it up?

yeah, how do you save it so that stuff won't wiggle around anymore? like y'know when you upload it onto another computer to present and the text and images still have that box around it so everying accidentally ends up dragging off the screen?

not sure if you've fixed the problem...

i was thinking of how there are some .ppts files which kinda play but you can't ever edit them..unfortunately. didn't find any information on this and i read somewhere that you need some kinda of macromedia software for it..

to make it read only..

after you save the file..you can also make it read only by right-clicking on the icon > properties > check the "Read only" box > apply > and click on ok ...now..if you ever make changes to it...you can't save it as the same file name..

otherwise..just be more careful not to drag stuff off the screen? :P
