I'll sign up for the whole day- twice.

& I may even sing the Happy Bagel Song:

Baaaagels are happy, bagels are tasty, bagels are yummy, because they're good (um, the Happy Bagel Song varies quite a bit on every um "singing") (Given the occation & your formidable culinary skilz, I may also sing the variation Food is Good song).

do you know where the locals sent me to get "good" bagels here?

Dunkin Donuts

That sounds fab! I'm sorry I won't be able to make it, but it looks like I will be hostessing here instead(damn inconvenient lovelife). I may need to hit you up for the stuffing recipe, it sounds divine!
Also, I officially promise to remind Lynx RE:bagels before he goes.

Please forgive - one handed typing

Drd apricot chutney w/ * anise

.25 cp vinegar
.5 cp water
.25 cp sweetener - sugar honey
Salt to taste
.25 tsp black pepper
1 dried hot chile, or to taste. For sapphire one, to taste means none
1 TBP fresh peeled and minced, or 2 tsp ground ginger
.5 cp minced onion
20 dried apricots, cut into 8ths

cook everything except apricots on medium heat to boil, lower heat and simmer 5 min
add apricots and cook away moisture until "jammy", and apricots are tender
