Solid start. Granted I know nothing about the ultimate structure of your story, but you may want to add a quick prologue or blurb explaining the car accident for people who are unfamiliar with the events of 'Hidden.' Unless of course you meant to start in medias res, in which case tell me to kindly shut up.:-)Looking forward to more.
