just caught up - been ridiculously busy at work, only just met a deadline for my reel-torchwood fic... this is a lovely reflective piece, focusing on Jack's developing feelings for Ianto whilst keeping vigil ... really enjoying this and looking forward to more :-)

I loved this chapter. It's in writing like this that I'm reminded that Jack's been a father, perhaps multiple times over. Not that I think Jack and Ianto have a father/son relationship (although isn't that an interesting thing to think about....food for thought), but that Jack probably knows how to bathe someone and comfort them and kiss it better, as it were. I personally like that side of Jack, even if it isn't other people's cup of tea.
