Dear secret mutant
(For those who are wondering : it's a letter written for the 2015 Secret Mutant Challenge, for the lovely Anon who will make me a gift for the holidays \o/)
Dear secret mutant,
I know, deep inside of me, that what you’re going to create is gonna be AWESOME and that I’ll be in heaven when I’ll read/see it.
Thanks in advance for using some of your precious time to make this.
But still, I’d like to talk to you a bit about my likes and dislikes, if that’s okay with you ? Feel free to ignore these indications completely if you find them tiresome.
So.
My favourite mutant is Charles, and I love his complicated relationship with Erik. But I love plenty of other mutants too, especially Beast, Mystique, Shadowcat, Rogue, Wolverine, Darwin, Emma Frost - and I'm almost 100% sure that I'm going to love baby cyclops, jean, Kurt and Jubilee in Apocalypse.
So if you're not into Cherik, don't worry, I'd be glad to read some stories about other mutants. Just, please don't pair Charles and Erik with other people ? Or only in a phase, or in a polyamorous relationship (I wouldn't be against some hot threesome or more including Erik/Charles/Raven/Mystique/Logan for instance ^^).
And if you're into Cherik, then that makes two of us :). I don't like RPF, though.
I like character-driven stories and I like it when those characters are competent and clever, when they're not perfect. I love when their relationship is passionate, with lots of banter or bad pick-up lines, rivalry, or epic arguments. When it's complicated.
One thing is very important to me : if the fic or piece of art is about a relationship, it must be between equals. They must both give and take, and be on eye level. That's a thing I love about canon Cherik, and that I enjoy finding in fics...
What else... mmm... I enjoy Angst and Fluff, crackfics... well, I enjoy FEELS, you know ? All of them.
About sex : I'm gonna be honest I’m not very kinky, I fear. I love sex scenes when they’re relevant for the story, when they come after a long unresolved sexual tension, when they’re full of feelings. It can be between any gender or numbers, as long as it is enthusiastic, fun and passionate sex. But all dominant/dominated kind of relationship are a cold shower for me. No bdsm, no dubcon or noncon, no alpha/omega dynamics, top/bottom nonsense, etc...
I’m not a fan of big Age difference, Mpreg, cross-dressing, kid fics either (unless the kids are young adults, it can be fun). I hate woobie Charles. I quite like gender-bending, though. And tattoos. Always tattoos.
I love canon universe, but also all the AUs you can imagine as long as they include the characters we love. One thing I also love in X-men is the political subtext, so if your fic or art has one I'd be glad.
If you're an artist, then Yay, as an artist myself, I'm really glad ! I love any kind of drawings or paintings (traditional or digital), fancomics, fake magazine covers or articles about mutants, gifsets, etc... I don't like photomanips consisting of putting the actors faces on another photos, though. At all.
I think that’s all. I hope you’ll find something inspiring amongst my prompts - but feel free to improvize something else if you think it will be better this way.
